Peter Ho joins AirGo Board of Directors

Singapore Startup AirGo Design Welcomes Peter Ho To Its Board Of Directors
SINGAPORE, Feb. 3 — AirGo Design today announced that Peter Ho, founder and current CEO of Hope Technik, has been elected to AirGo Design’s Board Of Directors. Mr. Ho’s addition to the board expands the current board of the company to seven members.
“We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Peter Ho has agreed to join AirGo Design’s board of directors. Mr. Ho brings extensive knowledge and experience to the company. Mr. Ho will contribute immensely to the realization of AirGo Design’s targets and goals,” said Maziar Jahanshahi, Chairman of AirGo Design’s Board Of Directors. Mr. Ho’s Hope Technik is one of the most innovative manufacturing companies in Asia working in the medical, commercial, aerospace and defence sectors.
Mr. Ho co-founded HOPE Technik with Michael Leong, Jeff Tang and Ng Kiang Loong after a ten-year involvement in the racecar engineering industry with Team Petronas Touring Cars, where he rose from mechanic to chief engineer.
“AirGo Design has focused on what has been a largely ignored question of making airplane seating better,” said Mr. Ho. As obvious as this requirement is, perhaps it has been the inertia against change and the fear of the hurdles of certification that have stopped people from starting this paradigm change in passenger comfort as they fly. I am very excited to have the chance to work with a forward-looking and extremely capable team.”
Besides his duties with Hope Technik, he is part of the Consultative Committee to the department of mechanical engineering at the National University of Singapore, where he also holds an adjunct assistant professor appointment. Mr. Ho currently serves as Hope Technik’s CEO, driving the company’s long-term technical and business goals. He has seen the company grow from a start-up in 2006 to a multi-million dollar group employing over 50 staff and serving global clients. Mr. Ho’s leadership of the company has focused the engineering solution provider on select areas of high-tech engineering: unmanned systems, defence, biomedical, smart logistics and special vehicles.
